"i spy..." for illustration friday. ink and charcoal on paper.
date begun: 24th march, 2007.
date completed: 25th march, 2007.
artists' comments: when i began this one, i really wasn't impressed. truth be told, i wasn't so inspired by the subject this time around. however, i eventually settled on an image similar to the infamous 'eye impalement' scene from lucio fulci's zombie. once i finished, i was more pleased with the final product.
i started the piece while sitting at the box office at a rock show on saturday night. the picture totally doesn't mesh well with the music that was played that evening...!

Good use of perspective, it can be hard to get that kind of effect but it really works in this image. Great stuff.
